Pokémon GO just introduced a new research feature that encourages Trainers to explore the world by completing a variety of objectives with the opportunity to earn helpful rewards and discover powerful Pokémon. Join Trainers across the globe who are discovering Pokémon as they explore the world around them. Pokémon GO is the global gaming sensation that has been downloaded over 800 million times and named “Best Mobile Game” by The Game Developers Choice Awards and “Best App of the Year” by TechCrunch. Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, Pikachu, and many other Pokémon have been discovered! Pokémon are out there, and you need to find them. As you walk around a neighborhood, your smartphone will vibrate when there’s a Pokémon nearby. Take aim and throw a Poké Ball… You’ll have to stay alert, or it might get away! Search far and wide for Pokémon and items Certain Pokémon appear near their native environment—look for Water-type Pokémon by lakes and oceans. Visit PokéStops and Gyms—found at interesting places like museums, art installations, historical markers, and monuments—to stock up on Poké Balls and helpful items. Catching, hatching, evolving, and more As you level up, you’ll be able to catch more-powerful Pokémon to complete your Pokédex. You can add to your collection by hatching Pokémon Eggs based on the distances you walk. Help your Pokémon evolve by catching many of the same kind. Choose a Buddy Pokémon to walk with and earn Candy that will help you make your Pokémon stronger. Compete in epic Gym battles You’ll join one of three teams and battle for the ownership of Gyms with your Pokémon at your side. As your Charmander evolves to Charmeleon and then Charizard, you can battle together to defeat a Gym and assign your Pokémon to defend it against all comers. Team up to defeat powerful Raid Bosses A Raid Battle is a cooperative gameplay experience that encourages you to work with up to 20 other Trainers to defeat an extremely powerful Pokémon known as the Raid Boss. If you succeed in defeating it in battle, you’ll have the chance to catch an extra powerful Pokémon of your own! It’s time to get moving—your real-life adventures await! • Stop fighting your players and work with them

Business model.... Stop fighting your player base’s desire. Not everyone lives in big cities, and not everyone has the ability to even walk. I know I’m a simpleton but it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see you need a new business model. So how about reinvest some of the millions of dollars you’ve profited into more servers to create a “shadow PokemonGo” with all the same Pokemon, gyms and stops, that’s specifically for people who want/need to walk around within the game (spoofing, joystick). Like a console/pc game would be. You can collect all your advertising profits with the old game and those that wish to play the old way. The “shadow game” will be the same thing but feature a travel ability and a joystick overlay. The two games will not interact ie. OG players can’t be defeated at gyms by spoofers. Only OG players can interact with OG players and vice versa. Not very complicated just need to invest the money. Could become one of the most loved game companies of all time. Or you know, keep stepping all over your players and forcing them to do what they don’t want/can’t use in order to can keep advertisers happy and push your stubborn and narrow view of what a fun time is.

Worst game. Horrible placement of stops and gyms. Worst customer service, tried contacting about putting more gyms and sent me robotic reply. They don’t care about the game there in it for money. Sprint and Starbucks should pull out of sponsorship from them.
  • Get over it

I want time it was an interesting concept but is just gone to far all the things that were going on in the beginning are now getting more and more expensive and it’s difficult to play without paying as well as it depends on your location if you’re in any other location in downtown New York or San Francisco will never be able to catch of the animals it also will all be arbitrarily killing your account taking your money and shutting you out
  • Hope ended for this game

  • Unfair game play

    By K.llama
People that live in major cities like ny city, every other step is a poke stop or gym. Unfair to people who live in rural areas. The recent bans are very upsetting. Spent money on the game too. Niantic needs to release people that got banned.

So I was recently doing some traveling due to business purposes and I was playing legitimately on my account up until yesterday and I wake up this morning to a failed to get game data from server? I’m done with this game. Has that account from day one. Goodbye Pokémon go.
  • Love it!

    By ccmolina
I loved Pokémon to begin with and it’s fun to go around and catch the Pokémon. The only thing is you have to be in a park or major city to get the good Pokémon a lot easier, but it’s still fun to play with! I just wish we could battle others directly and trade. Other than that I play it almost daily!
