Lumen Notes takes notes for you. Instead of typing, just point your camera and say out loud what’s on your mind. It takes pictures at just the right moment, and transcribes everything you say into written notes. For example, say that you are looking for a house. Instead of taking pictures and typing notes separately, you can just walk around the house, press and hold the record button, and say out loud what you think. Lumen Notes will take pictures as you speak, and will transcribe everything you say into written notes. Of course, you don’t have to take pictures if you don’t want to. Turn off the camera and dictate notes when you are on the go. There is no faster way to create a grocery list - simply say out loud what you’d like to get. Every time you want to add an item, just press and hold the record button. It’s that easy! Lumen Notes is FREE for a month, and then only $9.99 per year. Your iTunes account will be charged at confirmation of your purchase and renews automatically every year for the same amount. Auto-renew may be turned off by going to your Account Settings after purchase, and must be turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. • Avoid This Company

They offered a $20 one-time price for their Lumen Trails app, then changed to a subscription model and loaded that app with advertisements. If you paid for the lifetime ad-free app, too bad. They want more money now, every month, for you to have the ad-free app you originally paid for. Oh, and they haven't changed hardly anything in the Lumen Trails app for years. So, they essentially want more money for nothing new and no additional features (unless you count advertisements as a feature). I would not recommend doing business with Lumen Sparks.
  • Disappointing

This is pretty much directly ported from a six-year-old app (any one of the Lumen Trails apps), and rarely gets updated. Devs have done some shady stuff recently, check out the previous reviews, sorting by most recent. Ads make the UI look nothing like pictured on the App Store. I doubt that this will be around in a year given their customer service, so you might want to look elsewhere.
  • Subscription Required

I'd rather buy an app once, instead of paying for it each month. I've already got 5 subscription services and only one is iOS-related - just a few more subscription-style apps would break the bank. I wish there was more than 1 hour of demo time permitted. Most demos allow several days or weeks. To be fair, take my 2 stars with a grain of salt, since I could only test the app for a short time.
