    ...Until the paywall hit

Why does this cost so much it’s just a coding app and I found better apps like this for free that actually want to be able to teach people and not just milk them for their money. If your going to make an app nobody can afford at least tell them up front instead of making them download the app and then telling them you need to pay which buy the way makes people delete it. I thought this was a cool app but when it wouldn’t let me use it because it costs so much money I got out of the app and deleted and downloaded another app about java script which is pretty fun. I got a response saying it’s free so people can get an idea of how it works but I can’t get an idea of it if I only get one short lesson that doesn’t show me how to do real stuff. I wouldn’t know whether or not it’s worth paying for. Also I’ve looked at other reviews saying there are a lot of bugs. I’m not going to pay for this because fixing a bug will take time and can ruin the experience and before you know it your subscription could end and the bugs won’t be fixed. I could use the money for rent to and other things like food water and real education.
  • Love it

I am currently in a programming class. The Mimo application explains everything with examples. It is a great back up to what I am already learning. Sometimes learning something from a different source makes all the difference! I am excited for all I can learn through Mimo!!
  • Not a lot to do...

I loved it when i was just downloaded it, but I have to have pay to learn the rest!? Shouldn’t there be more free stuff than what, the first part of the lesson!?!?! I gave it 2 stars because it has a good learning concept, and lots to choose to learn.
  • Not Worth The Money

In an age where so much quality information is available online for free, it’s shocking to see someone charging a $30 subscription fee for such shoddy “lessons”. The minimum subscription term is three months but most of the shallow, poorly explained content can be finished in a fraction of that time. Customer service is also very unhelpful if you ever decide to take them up on their 14 day money back guarantee. Avoid this cash grab and look up one of the many quality free courses you can find online.
  • Overprice, overrated

Doing the math on the premium settings it is clearly overpriced. It advertises the C++ course to last 4.5 hours. However, doing the introductory topic took me 5 minutes and it has a total of 11 topics, so in theory I could complete a course in a 1/5 of the time advertised. I added all of the advertised content (only counting courses once if they exist within a track) and got 75.5 hours of content. When I divided it by 5 it actually take 15 hours to complete the app. $30 for 15 hours is $2 an hour. I don’t know the quality of the premium features, but the demo features were very basic and asked obvious questions that make you feel like you are learning but you won’t remember anything the next day. I’m going to consider free alternatives that are more thorough and useful.

Very intuitive, great explanations and interactive UI. I’m definitely a visual learner, and this is perfect for me!

Clear lessons that break down the pieces of different aspects of coding without making you feel overwhelmed or stupid.
  • Cool concept and visually appealing

This app starts out with a little quiz that’s mainly common sense but could be a little difficult if you’re a complete beginner. To dive deeper in the material It requires a subscription so it is not free. 2 stars for the cool concept and appealing user interface but I was not able to go further without paying so I have to give it 2 stars.
  • False Advertising

I don’t like that the app is advertised as “free” in the App Store but it prompts me for $50 per year after the first lesson. It looks well made but I can’t help but wonder if this is just to swindle me.
