Tried to cancel but couldn’t. Kept getting in a circular reference.
  • Recent Update Terrible — Eliminates Recent Recordings

The latest update got rid of the “Recent Recordings” which let me know the most recent stuff recorded. This makes YouTube TV about 80% less useful. This is like a DVR now that forces you to search for recordings only if you know the exact thing by name that was recorded rather the just being able to browse in reverse chronological order and pick from that. Before they got rid of that feature it was a 4-5 star app. PLEASE BRING RECENTLY RECORDED BACK — “New Episodes” section is much less useful as it doesn’t show individual shows only series.

This is probably the worst engineered google product I've ever used. The app barely works. DVR function is completely screwed up. It loses its connection to my network at least half the time. Tapping buttons does nothing. Really appalling.
  • Best steaming service

Best streaming service. I had Hulu for two months but cancelled it because it was constantly buffering. Very annoying Youtube TV had AMC so that was major plus!!
  • Best app for tv streaming

Best features to me about this app: Very friendly interface, iPad app can operate the Roku app on the same WiFi network. (MUCH easier than using Roku remote.) Good channel line-up for my preferences, including all local broadcast networks. (This depends on your specific location.) No problems at all so far with streaming. Unlimited free cloud recording, stores programs for 9 months. Highly recommend.
  • Needs a little more fine tuning

I like the direction you are going but the app needs to be a little more user friendly. Look at Xfinity/Comcast and their interface is very easy to use, find programs, record only new shows not all the show that appears on every station and every season.

Newest version no longer works on iPad. It can not find location. I've removed and reloaded app and still does not work. Please fix and push a new update.
  • Poor AppleTV implementation

I’ve been using this on my aTV for a month now and while the content and quality is generally very good I feel like the app developer should be locked in an Iron Maiden for a day to get a sense of the agony the user interface inflicts on its users. After a month I still feel like I am fighting with the interface. It doesn’t conform to AppleTV well at all especially when trying to ten second skip or seek during playback. Exiting a video doesn’t stop playback in the background. You have to hit pause first or force quit the app. Please note that I pretty much watch recorded or on-demand programming as the amount of commercials during live TV only make me remember why I cut the cord in the first place. But don’t be fooled by the cloud DVR service; even if you record an episode you won’t be allowed to watch it until the on-demand version with all of its unskippable ads expires, which means you’ll have to wait a month or more before you’ll be allowed to watch the recorded version and skip over the ads. Ultimately the app has promise which is why I’m giving it three stars but if the UI doesn’t get streamlined to properly work with the AppleTV remote then I’ll probably end up canceling as my neighbors are getting sick of hearing me yell at my TV.

This is just the best app I have ever used! I am amazed at how useful it now makes TV. I highly recommend YouTube TV.
