Widely varying content and the UI works fine on my iPhone 6s. What more can be said.
  • And the good shows?

I downloaded the app but didn’t even bother with starting the trial. No Broadchurch, no Mighty Bosh, no Luther, no Peep Show, no Saxondale, NO ALAN PARTRIDGE! Are you kidding me with the last one? One of the most iconic characters in all of British television and none of the series are on? I won’t write BritBox off yet, but it has some work to do.

I waited for 17 minutes after entering my password when I tried to cancel. Finally gave up. I'll try again later.

Been trying several times since the first "free trial" to get this off my credit card. Nothing seems to work - help!

If you are hoping to get some of the best British TV, don’t bother. The selection is limited and very little is added every week. More seriously, the selection an insult to our intelligence and taste. Do they really think Americans are so stupid they will be happy with ancient reruns of the sort you find on PBS during pledge drives? Are we supposed to get excited about Coronation St? This emphatically does not showcase the best of British TV—it displays only the tired, unimaginative, and wrong-headed view of the American market by whoever thought this bottom-feeding service up. I’d gladly pay much more—even the equivalent of the license fee—to access the best of British TV. If you want to succeed, you need to go back to the drawing board or your subscribers will quickly desert you.
  • Inexcusable

Nearly impossible to restart a show once it is finished. (Hey, I admit it: sometimes I fall asleep before a show finishes, and I have this crazy idea that I ought be able to restart in mid~show.) If that’s not enough, some programs won’t play at all. When I called customer support a few days ago, the operator assured me that a technician would return my call in 15 minutes. Still waiting. Streaming is an established technology. An implementation this shoddy is inexcusable. I’ve already cancelled my subscription

I have acorntv and this new one britbox- I am constantly on britbox! Great old comedy like " Fawlty towers" ,wonderful mystery shows you'd not see in the US like " waking the dead", blue murder , etc! I ask have Netflix Hulu but stay on these bc it's totally new tv for me ! Well worth the subscription price (I have Amazon fire it's an add on channel ) Also mine has never crashed once that must be the reviewers provider bc I use mine within Amazon Fire ( best provider imho) - paid 40 for my stick and easy to install plus I can travel with my stick !
  • Worst app on Roku

We timed (4 times) how long just to get a show playing on a new Samsung 64” TV with latest Roku and Fios internet - EIGHT MINUTES!! Are you kidding me?? How can the Roku app be so terrible? The app here is good enough and is the only way I would consider subscribing.

I have enjoyed britbox when I am able to see it. After free period, it starts crashing. I keep deleting and downloading app. Get menu, choose show, then green screen. Very disappointed
  • B+ for content, F for app stability and design

The content is decent ... not everything I'd hoped for, but enough to justify the fee. The app on the other hand is shameful. Constant crashes, lousy browsing and search. The erratic crashes make several shows unwatchable ... I'm going to have to request a refund.
