  • So easy!

    By Melanieber
This app was instrumental in eating out less and cooking more. I have put a fair amount of time into adding lots of wonderful recipes to my meal board account. Now I can meal plan my entire week and populate a shopping list for my family in under a half hour. This app is well worth the money. My husband and I both have it on our phones using the same account, and that makes delegating the shopping incredibly easy. No matter who meal plans, the other can buy exactly what's needed. Just look at the meal board!
  • Life Changing!

If an app can be life changing, this one is. I thought life was good with Grocery IQ. This one takes it to a whole new level. I love having my recipes all in one place and having them with me when I shop. I can plan the menu anywhere! Adding recipes is a breeze. One day I was grocery shopping and saw a new recipe in a magazine while checking out. Before I got to the parking lot, I had downloaded it into MealBoard! This app has so many amazing features - rearranging isles in each store, picking which stores you buy different ingredients at, choosing which ingredients to add to the shopping list, drag and drop meal rearranging, scaling recipes, mailing recipes to friends, etc. I could go on and on. I LOVE THIS APP. The support is fantastic. I have contacted the developer twice and both times gotten a very speedy response. You won’t regret buying this app. Update: It's been 2 1/2 years since I wrote my original review. I'm always looking for something better so I've investigated many similar apps over the years. Sometimes they look a bit flashier or have a feature that would be nice to have, but I've never found one that can begin to compete with the features of MealBoard. Some of the critical features that seem to be missing in other apps are being to scale each recipe individually, support of multiple grocery stores, ability to organize aisles per store, and building the shopping list for only the exact days I want instead of a week at a time. I still just LOVE LOVE LOVE this app.
  • Love this app.

When I started having problems with a grocery app I had used for 8 years, I stumbled across this app. I'm sure I haven't even scratched the surface on the capabilites, but I am loving the options available on this app. Easy to use. I had a question about settings and got support right away.

This is a great app for getting your meal planning organize. It is very easy to plan meals and get a grocery list for shopping. You have access to hundreds of great cooking websites like all recipes. Also the customer support is amazing! I had one small issue and they wrote me back within hours with a resolution.

have been using MealBoard for several years and love it. Cooking recipe exploring and shopping are a big part of my life. My late wife and I shop at specific stores for specialty items available only from that store. Also shopping at the hardware store , going to post office, bank or pharmacy requires some very imaginative aisle selection. Also because it's more convenient I prefer to print my shopping list rather than carry my device while shopping. (At 78 years old I'm clumsy when using one hand. ). The following additional feature/capability would be extremely useful. Allow me to view and/or print one shopping list sorted by both store and the aisles in each store. This then functions as a shopping list, to do list and shopping trip planner. I don't know if this something others would use and like, but maybe. If there's a way to accomplish simply with the existing App I haven't been able to find it. Thanks Excellent app. It does 99% of the tasks I want in a shopping app. I was using another one and have tossed it. The only thing I can think of is the lack of a detailed tutorial. I'm learning by trial and error. LOVE it. UPDATE OF ORIGINAL REVIEW: 4/22/17 Obviously the developers thought of a lot of things I didn't and have improved it greatly. Two additional things I would like: First let me print or display a single list with multiple stores. This would allow me to assign particular items to the only store that carries it and still only have one list on shopping day. Second let me prepare a list of all coupon items with expiration dates. Currently I miss many savings opportunities Still a excellent app. Absolutely the best of the several I've tried
  • So far, no complaints

I recently switched from Menu Planner to MealBoard because the developer never seemed to get the barcode scanner to work. I'm getting used to the functionality of this app and it's comparable, if not better. Importing recipes is definitely easier and has more compatible sites. I use Pinterest a lot, so I just copy the URL from the recipe's site and copy it here and auto import fast and easy. Even using the "tool" function to import recipes is efficient (although obviously not better). I look forward to setting up the pantry and freezer in the app to start tracking inventory! ***update*** I would like the developers to consider including an option to mark a pantry item (i.e. corndogs) as a recipe/side dish that can be added to the menu **and reduce inventory** instead of having to create a new recipe to update the pantry or manually updating the pantry for that item....I haven't been able to "quick add" a pantry item to the menu planner.
