After an update on my iPhone Garmin stopped working. I uninstalled reinstalled, installed the new Maps. Tried putting a location to go to and it couldn't find it. Uninstalled reinstalled, installed the Maps now it won't even boot up keeps telling me I have to install the required Maps, even though they are. Extremely frustrated!!!!
  • Lack of update to UI.

When will Garmin refresh this app? It is so out dated much like gps system on automobile. There are free apps that looks much better and for a navigation company, they are falling behind on time. 😟

This app is not your typical Garmin product. Don't expect to be able to contact them about the app's issues since a serial number is needed in order to "contact an Expert' on their web site. The map is an older map and not current with the GPS maps (2017 vs 2018 - as of today). Garmin does not even look like they recognize this app on their website because if you search for it, you really don't find it easily. It is NOT downloadable to your other apple devices either. I'm using it on an older iPad without Data support while I am on the road and have a DUAL GPS attached (bluetooth). Seems to work fine and there doesn't seem to be a problem. I would like to be able to save my favorites from my GPS to the app but there does not seem to be a way to be able to do that. I'm about to call them to get support.

Several updates later and still no vehicle icons. Still stuck with the lame ones every gps has. Not cool. $50 should get you some perks. Also. Recently I was near KC and the maps were completely off. You may want to do some checking into that since your based right in that area. Here it is now late April and still no update to the maps or its features.
  • No routes or simulator mode

Please add GPS simulator mode and the ability to see routes of your destination without actually having to press GO! This is a pain if you want to plan a certain route in advance to find the best route possible. I want to be able to just use my phone as my Gps but always find myself using my NUVI because of not having these features available on the phone.

I have always loved the Garmin hardware and the GUI. I am satisfied with the quality of this app. I would like the points of interest search feature to be a bit better. When I search for places near my location it frequently only finds locations that are 10miles or more away from me when I could google the same thing and fine it less than a mile from me. Most times I google the address of where I want to go then transfer the address into the Garmin app and that works well enough. One major upgrade that I would love to see is Apple CarPlay compatibility. There is a "mirroring" option available for purchase in the extras section but that is extremely old technology that nothing supports anymore. Overall even without Apple CarPlay feature I will still recommend to everyone!
  • Very Unstable

When I updated the application on IOS 10, it would not run. I uninstalled, reinstalled it application, and reinstalled the maps. Now, the application runs, but it frequently crashes. It is not usable. When I attempt to set my home location, the app seems to accept the change, but the home location is not modified; when I click on the go home icon, it continually asks me to enter a home location. Very disappointing.
  • Love-hate relationship

I agree with a few of the other users about the fact that up until the last two or three updates, getting other vehicle icons were easy to get. BUT........ now can't even download other vehicle icons to personalize the vehicle icon as it is guiding us. I like the basic, but I would like to use different icons whether I am driving an actual ambulance or emergency vehicle or for the holidays.
