  • Adequate app, but not for the cost.

Longstanding user on multiple iOS/iPhone versions (currently 7+/iOS 11). Recent versions of app don’t seem to be able to successfully save/store my home location (BTW, they should really add a work location quick button). While navigation appears to be fairly reliable, I’ve noticed that it tends to completely fall apart in the Rockville, MD area (I’m in Washington, DC). It also has a lot of difficulty teasing apart surface street / underground freeway localization (e.g. Downtown Boston) & doesn’t seem to like surface streets under elevated freeways that much, either. I really do expect more from one of the more expensive apps on the app store

Very Good app. (photoReal Junction View) works only if: Every time, after typing in the address, you must make the appropriate procedure: Settings Navigation myTrends ON OFF Clear all myTrends history? Yes Back Back View Map

This app is outdated and drops well behind competitors like Waze. I couldn’t even use this app to navigate to a state park in NH called The Flume. This app won’t find that location and that’s really quite pathetic when this is a paid app with a reputable name like Garmin. Definitely not worth the money as I’ve had issues with other locations as well. 👎👎

Update: Had to delete app and re download. No longer crashing constantly. Upgrade from previous version did not work and that's why had to be re downloaded. Wish the additional vehicle icons worked again. They still show a bunch of empty boxes. Can that be fixed soon? Original Post: This has been my go to app when I travel for business and now with the auto app update, the new version does not come up and crashes just after the splash screen. Very disappointing.

After an update on my iPhone Garmin stopped working. I uninstalled reinstalled, installed the new Maps. Tried putting a location to go to and it couldn't find it. Uninstalled reinstalled, installed the Maps now it won't even boot up keeps telling me I have to install the required Maps, even though they are. Extremely frustrated!!!!
  • Lack of update to UI.

When will Garmin refresh this app? It is so out dated much like gps system on automobile. There are free apps that looks much better and for a navigation company, they are falling behind on time. 😟

This app is not your typical Garmin product. Don't expect to be able to contact them about the app's issues since a serial number is needed in order to "contact an Expert' on their web site. The map is an older map and not current with the GPS maps (2017 vs 2018 - as of today). Garmin does not even look like they recognize this app on their website because if you search for it, you really don't find it easily. It is NOT downloadable to your other apple devices either. I'm using it on an older iPad without Data support while I am on the road and have a DUAL GPS attached (bluetooth). Seems to work fine and there doesn't seem to be a problem. I would like to be able to save my favorites from my GPS to the app but there does not seem to be a way to be able to do that. I'm about to call them to get support.

Several updates later and still no vehicle icons. Still stuck with the lame ones every gps has. Not cool. $50 should get you some perks. Also. Recently I was near KC and the maps were completely off. You may want to do some checking into that since your based right in that area. Here it is now late April and still no update to the maps or its features.
