  • Love this app!

    By MyBigBuns
I love this app. I am a very experienced cook, but I've learned great recipes & techniques from this app. I'd give it 5 stars but for the horrible technical problems I've had with the app. Right now I can't bring up main dishes & the snacks I can bring up when I go for the recipes I get pork dripping in berries & tequila?? Great app wish it worked better.

Tried the Wedding Chicken yesterday & my family gave it the thumbs up!! They don't usually like me to experiment but this time they were glad. Now they're looking forward to the next one. Directions were clear & concise.
  • Great resource!

I loved the early days of cooking shows on TV and learned valuable skills. But really, for the last several years one has to pick and choose from more and more scarce quality options on food television. Here is another option. This app is great! A cross between well produced video (with highly regarded chefs) and a cookbook. It's entertaining and usable.
  • Little Annoyances

    By Cycle-Dave
Every time they update the app, I have to login again. I wish they would add 1Password support so I don't have to keep looking up my credentials. None of the links in emails I receive ever work. I get an email about an interesting recipe, click on it, and it opens the app but never lands on the recipe page in the email. It seems I always have to log in, and after logging in, it has forgotten the link I clicked on so I have to search manually. Same for cooking courses. The email/app interfaces do not work so the emails are useless. Once I get into the app and find a recipe I like, it's fairly easy to navigate and save recipes. But on at least one app update, all of the recipes I favorited in my account disappeared. So I had to look through ALL of the recipes again to re-save them. And lastly, some of the features don't work on my iPad. For example, scrolling to the bottom of the main page there are links to breakfast, lunch, dinner, desserts, etc. Not all of them work. Clicking on some do nothing. On my iPhone, they all work and take you to recipes grouped by relevant topics. Overall, the experience is just okay but needs a lot of work to iron out the bugs. I don't look forward to the next time my saved recipes disappear again.
  • cancellation was botched, recipes aren't helpful

I cancelled through Itunes, but an "error" showed up for days. Panna told me they can't handle cancellations on their end, and to call Itunes. I called itunes customer service and spent a whopping 51 minutes on the phone, mostly on t hold, to cancel. The recipes themselves had a weirs dichotomy between complicated and overly simple. I couldn't find a a recipe to reference while make simple things, like gnocchi with brown butter and sage or a nice white wine steamed mussels. I dod oddly find a recipe for "chicken and rice" with just white rice, boiled chicken, onions, salt and pepper. I also found lots of "project" recipes, which were great, and required some planning and a separate trip to a store to find specific ingredients. This was helpful when I wanted to make a Cambodian soup, which was delicious. However, overall this is 't a good app to use to look at what you have in the home and whip something together after looking for ideas.
  • Subscription did not cancel

    By LJ12
I canceled my subscription just a few days into using the app because I did not like it. 3 weeks later, I was charged for the subscription - and don't even have access to the app! Waiting on a response to get a refund and also put in a complaint to PayPal. This is fraudulent
  • Great content horrible updates.

    By Freakyz69
I love the videos, recipes, and how the chef instructors teach. This is literally what the Food Network used to be. The problem I am having is that I get emails and notices and the app never takes me to the content I am wanting or the articles that are mentioned. Please fix this. I am a paying customer.
