Take a look at our screenshots for step by step instructions. When you're on a call and you want to record it, open TapeACall and press the record button. We will put your call on hold and dial our recording line. As soon as our line answers tap the merge button on your screen to create a 3 way call between your other caller and our recording line. If you want to record an outgoing call, just press the record button. The app will dial our recording line and will begin recording as soon as our line answers. Once that happens, tap the add call button on your screen, call the person you want to record, then press the merge button when they answer. —————————————————————— Can I download recordings to my computer? Yes, and we've made it extremely easy to do this. From inside the app you can attach the recording to an email and send it to yourself as an MP3, or you can click the share button and find a short URL that you can type into your computer's browser. —————————————————————— How many recordings can I make? As many as you want! We don't have a limit on the number of recordings you can make. —————————————————————— How long can a recording be? As long as you want! Agree with a prior comment. Pro cost pops up every time if you try to use it. If you hit the home button, you are buying the upgrade. I'm saying this based on apps response to a prior negative comment. Deleted the app within 15 minutes. Also deleted index fingerprint from iPhone, as this triggers your agreement to upgrade. It also takes up prominent real estate on my front screen. Don't want to see it everytime I use the iPhone.

Great product, worth the small cost. Great interface, it's nice how they keep reminding you to merge the calls so you don't miss the recording!

I use this app frequently to record interviews for stories I'm writing, and it is well worth the $10 for the premium version. It's easy and straightforward to use, and I've never had any app-related problems with calls not being recorded, being dropped, etc. I love that I can connect my calls to the app a few different ways, and it's always pretty seamless. Playback quality is decent--occasionally things will be muffled or quiet or static, but that could be a phone-related issue. My biggest complaint is that occasionally--more frequently in recent months--my recordings take a long time (sometimes several hours or more) to process, and I worry that I won't be able to access my recordings in time to meet deadlines or that I will lose recordings altogether. Sometimes the issue works itself out, and other times I've had to continually follow up with support staff, but the issue gets resolved one way or another. When this happens, though, it's very stressful and frustrating!
