  • I like emeals

I really like emeals and it simplifies my life. The family likes all the recipes too. Only I wish that I could have more than 2 shopping lists or that you could add a new menu to an existing shopping list. When you create a new list it erases one if you have more than 2. I learned the hard way and it erased all the planned meals for the month because I needed a 3rd shopping list. Now I have to just remember which meals I planned for this month. I'll write them down from now on but it would be nice to be able to add to an existing grocery list.

I've used emeals several times on and off and I really like it. The recipes are good even with my picky family. With the app, I really do wish there was a way to assign dates and export to a calendar.m or even assign dates and print because I lose track of where I am and it's a little tedious to type it into the calendar. That would be a huge improvement!
  • It's great, but...

My one complaint about this meal planner is that there isn't an option to sync it with your calendar. Heck, even an in-app calendar would do. I never want to prepare the meals in the order suggested, due to our family's schedule, and we often go back to meals from previous weeks. Not having a calendar feature means that I either have to write it down (defeats the point of a meal-planning app) or remember it (highly unlikely). That said, the meals we have made have been delicious, economical and in appropriate portions. My toddler has eaten more paleo dinners than I thought possible.
  • Basic & Overpriced

This is very simply a cookbook that you get in weekly chapters. I'd like it better, and might actually subscribe if it synced with actual meal planning apps like Paprika. It has a share recipe option... But Paprika is a full planner with a calendar, and recipe keeper. I like that I can make a favorite, but there should be an edit function so I can make notes.
  • They make you call to cancel

If you decide you want to cancel your subscription you have to call them. They won't let you do it via their website or email. Then of course you wait on hold for a representative, and they try to sell you more weeks free to get you to stay and give you this whole spiel. Annoying.

I was with emeals when they 1st came out and it was handy, but I didn't like all the meals. Next, you could switch plans, but only 1x per week. Now it's endless, which enables me to find a mix of meals our entire family will eat all week. Thank you!
  • Needs more integration with website

The concept of eMeals is great, but I find it frustrating that what I choose for meal plans and add to our grocery list doesn't sync with my husbands phone or the website. So, if I am not the one doing the grocery shopping for the week, then there is no way for the grocery list to be transferred to my husband or printed off. This feature would make this app and concept way more user friendly.
  • Lifesaver for our family

With a growing family, we find it hard to get simple, healthy dinners on the table. After trying a few meal kits, I figured we'd give emeals a try. We love the variety of meal plan options, but we mostly stick to quick and healthy. Having healthy meals in under 30 minutes is a lifesaver! We even get our groceries delivered to our door through the grocery integration. Not sure how my busy family would make it without emeals.
  • I'll never stop using Emeals

I've been a subscriber since 2012 and Emeals have saved my sanity. I'm not the type of person that can look into the fridge and figure out what I want to cook. This takes the "What am I going to cook this week?" question out of your hands. After figuring out that, it makes grocery shopping an ease! I add my staples that I need for breakfast and snacks to the shopping list and can either send it to Instacart or go shopping myself. It also has the ability to save your favorite recipes so that if you don't like all the meals offered one week, you can replace them with your favorites. Love, love the service. Keep up the good job Emeals! I look forward to all the future recipes and updates to the app.
