My mother has Alzheimer's. I am hoping that using my brain this way will help me to avoid that fate. It definitely helped me to relieve stress.

I wish I didn't have to pay to enjoy the full experience. It kind of sucks🙁. Other than that, I enjoy it. I love the reminders because they make me commit. And I love that they ask for your mood and how long have you slept. This app is spectacular.
  • Great app - free and paid.

Unfortunately I can't pay for something that hasn't been proven helpful or scientifically proven that really improves memory.

what a great app! super fun and so charming to think I'm "improving my brain." whether or not that's true - I love it just the same:) incredibly kind of you all to give such an extensive free version- it's obviously quite labor intensive!! my sincere thanks for that <3 my only request/suggestion: there are a couple of games i just don't like to play. for example, the beach memory game - i would maybe play it once in a while if it weren't 50 items on 3 beaches, respectively ! too much time!! i can do it, memorize lists, without problem - but i have no interest in collecting these millions of items on the beach for three hours. so - i just collect the same item, thrice - to lose each time. would be way cooler if i could just click something somewhere that says 'hey please let's not play this one! ok!' yeah... other than that? flawless... love it so<3 it's my way favorite of all the brain "training" apps.. thanks again! xoxoxoxoxox

If you are like looking for an app that will challenge your critical thinking and response time, look no further. I love this app, when I feel like playing video games I just open up this app. Lumosity takes a scientific approach, to analyzing and exercising the strong and weak parts of an individual's critical thinking, response time, information processing, and memory skills. It very successfully integrates practice and leisure. You will quickly recognize many of the games, or challenges, as a task that you can excel at. Be it response time, planning, critical thinking, memory, or color/spacial reasoning, you'll find something to enjoy. Even better, it tracks your scores in each game, so you can see your improvements. Furthermore, it analyzes your performance across all of the games, to give you suggestions about things you may want to work on a little more. It also has reminders, so you can exercise your critical thinking skills regularly. An interesting correlation I have observed, is how sleep deprivation, or level of rest, affects performance, negatively or positively, in different challenges. (It doesn't track your sleep, but there are plenty of apps that do.) All in all, in my opinion, Lumosity should at least be downloaded for a test run, and is well worth paying for membership.
