  • No custom course

A new update has removed all user created courses. Horrible feature would not recommend i suspect the company has been bought and taken over and is most likely selling your ip address and info to the highest bidder.

best app to learn foreign language
  • Love it! Add more languages please!

    By chuuuu :)
I love this app and I’ve been learning Korean, Japanese, Spanish, as well as refreshing my Chinese. I think it would be AMAZING if this app could incorporate more West African languages, especially from Ghana(Fante, Tre, Ga) and Nigeria as the economy and entertainment industry grows in that area. This could very well be the first app to consider those factors and it would great!
  • Very Good!

It helps a lot with vocabulary and short sentences we use daily! :)
  • Stuck on Launchpad...?

    By Ana Bananie
I’m a fairly new user to Memrise despite knowing about its existence for close to a year. A month ago, I decided to give it a go for myself! It’s a great app and really focuses on ensuring you know the specific material of your target language, which I appreciate, and there are a variety of new terms to learn. Trouble is...I can’t access them. When I open Memrise and go to learn more Spanish, the only phase unlocked is the Launchpad, which prevents me from really engaging with the course and progressing. Every time I want to learn new material, I have to work around and select the option in a different way. It’s disheartening because Memrise is such a quality service, but I can’t fully take use of the course offered to me. Is it a bug or is it Memrise locking me out? Please fix it!
  • Didn’t notice the camera at first

    By Adolf.oliverbush91
Bought because it’s better at refreshing my Japanese than Rosetta Stone. Didn’t notice the camera that translates everything (sort of) you see into whatever language. It did call my friend a frisbee a few time. But I guess now I know how to say frisbee in polish. Worth every penny so far. Retaining the language better than taking the actual college class
  • Japanese

    By Midnight heart
Trying to learn Japanese and after level III it just switches from casual to kanji and I was practicing with my friend and she brought up that the app is not coherent it’s going all over the place
  • Solid free portion.

Solid thus far for the free aspect of the app. It’s fun and engaging.
  • Amazing

I am horrible with languages. My family speaks fluent Spanish and English and I still don’t know Spanish despite being around it all of my life. With Memrise, I’m able to understand more of the languages I want to learn (I’m slowly but surely picking up Korean and Spanish!) at a pace that helps even people like me grasp the language basics. I’ve recommended Memrise to almost everyone who tells me they want to learn a new language or skill (It also has SKILLS! I’ve been doing Art Theory and Yoga Basics just for fun!) It’s a fantastic app.
  • Great, wonderful, enjoyable

Who would have thought that learning new languages could be so much fun. I would give this app 10 stars if possible. I would like to see more information about grammar in the future but till then this toll will be my daily escape. Thanks so much!!!!
