The apps great for using the map between locations and learning all about the different historic stops....well until the 4th stop. Then you have to pay in order to get any type of meaningful information. Save yourself some time and just get a map in the visitor center in the Commons. Use Google Maps to show yourself around along the way.

Worst app I have ever used. If you pay for the premium, it does not work, the narrative quits half way through descriptions and will not re load. Then after about 4 sites it tells me I need to pay for premium again to get more audio. this is a scam!
  • I bought this so you don't have to

Audio tour basically reads the info for each stop, nothing extra. Not a lot of additional site info available with premium. Wikipedia is probably a better resource than this app.
  • This is the one you want to go.

This is a serious review. This is absolutely the freedom Trail out that you need. This is written by a well-known travel company in conjunction with a great provider. You can use all of the information for free and it is more expensive than the other apps. The map works much better and allows you to look at an area and go back-and-forth between details around the map. The material that is premium can be viewed and tested before purchase. For half the cost of the book they sell in the store you can get better material in audio. This allowed me to spend time looking at the site while listening to the material. I've walked this area many times but this is the best to her iPad for basically four dollars. Being how's this is a legitimate travel company they add on much more information will additional sites. I really like history a lot and really appreciated many of the added detail that isn't usually considered part of the freedom Trail but is nearby. I am sure others found some of those apps functional, but this is the one that is great.
  • Doesn't work

Save your money and don't buy. The other apps work better. I paid for the audio and won't play.
  • Great APP

Use this app as well as the accompanying book all day yesterday as we did the Freedom Trail in Boston. The app worked perfectly all day long, never crashed, we used it for both directions as well as the great audio content as we visited each site. Highly recommended!
  • very misleading

We downloaded this FREE app only to find that to use the audio guide for the trail we had to buy the "premium" extension before we could hear anything. If they had just told the truth up front I wouldn't be writing this bad review!
  • Very useful app

Very useful app for our upcoming visit to Boston and the Freedom Trail. The app accompanies the "Freedom Trail Boston" book. The Google map showing the route of the Freedom Trail is particularly helpful.
  • App crashes constantly on iPhone 6

Would be a nice app if it didn't crash so much.

This is awesome. The photographs, descriptions and depth of reserach is impressive. Like the voice descriptions too. Get it!
