  • Great App to learn

    By Nessau
This app is so fun! It keeps things interesting! I love how it hears you play to correct yourself when not playing the cord correctly. I'm new to learning the guitar and it has taught me so much in the short amount of time I have had my guitar. I would highly recommend this app
  • Subscriptions never sake effect

    By SmurfsUp
This used to be a good program, now it is always stuck in "free mode" even when you pay for a subscription. This cuts off your play time after about 20 minutes. Customer service is no help since it's a problem in the software.
  • Makes learning fun!

I got my first ukulele while on a cruise to Hawaii. They had fun classes onboard taught by a Hawaiian ambassador. He was such a neat fun guy and had me loving the ukulele. When I got home I wanted to learn more and found this app. This app is fun, easy to understand and has kept me loving my uke. I play daily at least 30 mins using this app. My dad uses it as well with his uke. It’s fun to see how we are progressing on our playing skills. I like how you can practice a song and slow down the tempo. I tend to start at 75% speed to kinda learn the song, cords or fretting. Then I move up in increments of 10% until I feel ready to preform the song in the actual lesson. One thing I’d suggest when using the app. Use earbuds. Sometimes if you have the app too loud it has issues hearing your instrument, if you are a soft player. Earbuds or the like, are perfect as you can clearly hear the lesson and your instrument. As for the price for premium... I think it’s very reasonable. Lessons taught in person would cost much more. Plus this app offers lessons for guitar, bass, ukulele and piano! A great bang for your buck, I’d say. Long story short, if you want to learn to play... I highly recommend this fun app.
  • Fix this now!!

    By ... it's ok
I'm fine with the one lesson a day but jeez guys seriously I am learning to play the guitar and I am hitting every note and it is not counting it.

  • Effective usage of game mechanics

    By Chase1098
The little star thing is amazing, and it is SO much more rewarding than doing this stuff alone. I feel like I’m actually learning how to play guitar. I’m a completionist, so I make myself complete these lessons until I get gold, effectively ramming practice down my throat AND appeasing my need to get a shiny thing in a video game. I’ll be in college soon, so it’ll give me a hobby to help ease the pain of work. The only downside is that sometimes you need headphones so the audio detection doesn’t go crazy, which makes playing a bit awkward (as you can’t hear as well). Of course you could turn the volume down on your device, but this is a review; I need to critisize something.
  • Problem with sound

    By imaunicyclist
With two outside tuners saying im spot on, the app says im off. So after tuning to the app, half my notes arent being registered in the app. Ive been playing for ten years, but i wanted practice. This app was of no help. Good thought behind it but i cant proceed in the app if it doesnt register what im playing.
  • Awesome! OMG!!!!

    By Taylor31515
I saw their commercial twice on YouTube and I was gonna check it out to download it !!! I was amazed I have a guitar teacher, (used to). But I didn’t like it cause he taught me in Spanish since I am Hispanic but I didn’t understand anything it was so boring! So I ended up leaving my dreams of playing the guitar and I just moved to wanting to be a singer! Until I had found this app usually it would be 100s of dollars for a MONTH!! But with this app it is 10 dollars a MONTH!!! #Yaaasssss!!! Love it thank you!!!

  • Great app!

    By Buckphuckchuckbutt
I've been playing guitar for 10 years, self taught, and this app has greatly improved my playing. I've always wanted to take lessons but they were too expensive or intrusive to my schedule. I would give this app a 5 star rating if it weren't so expensive. Also please please please my favorite part of the app are the lessons, give us more variety in these songs if I have to play another one of the same three songs to warmup I’m going to break my own guitar over my head.
