The AppStore №1 and top-rated for your Apple Watch, Sweatcoin app converts your outdoor steps into gadgets, sports and fitness kit, services and experiences. 5 Stars ► “Such a great concept and executed excellently. Gets me walking and rewards me for it too!” by Woo123789 “Basically pays you to move and exercise, and it costs nothing to use.” - Men’s Journal “The easiest way to make some side cash by doing what you already do naturally — walking.” - TheNextWeb “New UK health app Sweatcoin launched in the Apple app store this week and has been an instant hit.” - Forbes “New Apple app launches in Britain that pays people to get fit” - Reuters “The app that PAYS you to get fit: Sweatcoin rewards people for the number of steps they make every day” - Daily Mail “If ever you’ve needed an incentive to exercise, a new app could give you a much-needed boost to get active.” - Telegraph Sweatcoin converts your steps into currency units called, as you might have guessed it, sweatcoins. You can then spend them on goods, services and experiences on our market place with our partners or exchange them with your friends and family for whatever you fancy. The fitter and healthier you become the wealthier you get. Movement has value! And remember that continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. Sweatcoin uses your HealthKit step history data to continuously improve our algorithms and provide you with better offers at the right time.

(Rating it a 0 (ZERO)) I’ve done the math and I read the fine print. Here’s what I’ve noticed... 1. This app is literally pointless to one’s life. Technically the max amount of walking you can earn is 5 sweat-coins. Maxing our 5 ever month totals $150 each month. 2. 20,000 dividend by 150 = 133.33333... (Total number of months) than divide that by 12 = 11.11111....which means it take 11 years and a few months to earn a real amazing prize. 3. Even though you can invite people to take off 5 sweat-coins on prices each person is basically a day it took you to earn. Just to take off a whole year you’d need 365 people to download the app from your link. 4. If you actually click on the items you want to earn enough to get you will see that some of them only allowed for there to be a reduction on the price rather than fully making that item free. 5. It cost real money to increase the maximum amount you’re allowed to earn for sweat-coins. (If you’re going to start paying to use an app to get free prizes you might as well keep your real money and just save enough to buy it instead, doesn’t that sound better?) 6. True you could get your family and friends to download the app and keep the app and send you their coins but how long do you think it would take before they felt exploited and decided to get rid of the app or lose track of time and caring to continuously send you coins? 7. A lot of free material is in small amounts so even if you had this app for 11 years working extremely hard you could lose the prize to somebody else. 8. I’ve read about and done the walking to earn sweat coins and it is definitely true that just because you walk outside for a very long time does not necessarily mean they process all you’re walking. There are people who been out the entire day at work on their feet who haven’t even earned the five maximum dollars because this app is glitchy. 9. Upon this whole long term walk to earn sweat coins there is a 5% commission fee every time you walk and it gets converted to money it takes 5% out of what you’ve earned before they give you your total. (Imagine only walking enough to earning $.63 and it up still has the nerve to take a 5% commission fee for that $.63) The formula says that 1000 steps equal one dollar in sweat coins but I’ve actually had to walk 15,000 steps just to earn five dollars sometimes it has to be higher because they didn’t get all my steps and sometimes it slower because the process is better then before for no particular reason. 10. Some prizes just because you can afford to get it doesn’t mean necessarily that it’s going to come to you free it actually sometimes says it only lowers the price. Plus some materials you redeem require you to have a card to receive the item. Conclusion: I suggest if you’re looking for motivation to walk simply watch videos and hope for the best in yourself to be healthier in doing better. If you’re looking for free items the easiest way possible you better look somewhere else because this isn’t the app for you. You can always keep the app if you just want to keep it to see how much you walk but this app is nothing more than a simple display of free quality items and unlikely useful or undesirable cheap items.

  • Its little but it builds up

First of all it isnt a scam. Ive bought the small rewards and i gives me them. You have to walk like 1.5 miles just for one sweatcoin and the rewards cost like 20k. It takes a while but if you jog or run track like i do you can just keep your phone in your pocket and run while listening to music. The app doesnt even have to be open for you to earn. You can just download and forget about it and maybe like a month later you'll realize you can get a reward. Its like realizing your lost wallet with cash in it was in your closet after a month of using a new one.

  • This works to get paid for cycling! 🚲

    By EshamLosAngeles
When I try to record my cycling distances with background app turned on, I might say that it’s better than walking to earn more Sweatcoins.

I’ve been using this app for a while and I love it. I’ve been looking through the reviews and there are a lot of similar ones that have easy answers. For example a lot of people are saying that only the steps they take outside get counted and while that may be true it’s not because your inside. Most people say they should be able to walk around inside and it will work or that they played outside with there children and it didn’t work and the reason that is is because the app uses your gps along with whenever your phone shakes to calculate what is and is not a step. So the reason the app doesn’t calculate your steps is because your not moving far enough because the gps in your phone can only tell if you move if it’s a big enough distance so it’s not the apps fault it’s your phones. Another problem is the conversation rate which for most it sounds like it’s the same reason as stated above, your phone shakes when you take a step but since your taking so many steps in such a little space the app doesn’t think your actually walking. This is the reason the app runs your steps through the algorithm every 2,000 steps instead of every step because if they did anywhere close to every steps you wouldn’t make very much at all no matter how much you move. Another complaint was the shop offers which isn’t really up to the app. The app changes its shop everyday and even if it didn’t the developers can’t make more people give them their products to sell on their app. Another thing about the shop is the prices. People want the developers to lower the prices of a lot of things which I can understand why but they need to keep it that high. If they don’t keep it that high it’ll be to easy to get and it wouldn’t motivate you to continue using the app. Also it’s an iPhoneX of course their gonna make it a lot of sweat coins so stop complaining get up and walk. The last thing I’ll talk about is the subscription thing which a lot of people think you have to pay for with money which you don’t you pay sweat coins which means the entire app is free and there is nothing to spend real money on only ways to earn it so stop complaining, being lazy, and walk. :) P.S. sorry this is so long and thank you if you read the whole thing
  • No support and cannot delete the account

There is no support for the app and no way to delete my account!
  • Quick Suggestion

    By alec.pearson
I love the concept and everything. Don’t really mind the low payoff because better than nothing at all and getting paid to do practically nothing. However, I would like for it to be possible to add friends currently not on the app without texting them. Most people get moderately annoyed when they receive a text from an app so if this could be changed, would be great. However, this app does what it says. It gives you in-app currency to be converted to paypal later on. The conversion rate is low but I’m not grumbling over free money. Great app besides that one minor flaw.
  • Misleading.

Sweatcoin is a neat, fun app! However, there is a critical issue that I’d like to bring to light. The issue I have with Sweatcoin is what is available on the marketplace. They advertise that you “get paid for walking” but when does that happen? I don’t expect a lot, but there should be easier ways to earn actual money than to walk 10,000 steps every day for an entire year! That’s outrageous. I would love if there was a conversion rate for SWC to your local currency for example: 10 SWC = $1 USD. I want to earn money, not some magazine subscription or Fitbit.
