Good Morning Alarm Clock is a smart alarm clock that finds the optimal time to wake you up, keeps track of your sleep quality, and notifies you if you have a sleep debt. HOW IT WORKS Every night we go through different phases of sleep - from light to deep. The secret to waking up rested and feeling more energetic and alert upon awakening is to wake up during a period of your lightest sleep. Good Morning Alarm Clock uses the iPhone’s accelerometer to monitor your movements while you are sleeping and detect which sleep phase you are in based on your body movements. It creates a 30-minute window before the wake-up time you set and goes off within this window while you're in the lightest phase of sleep so gently that it feels natural to wake up. In the morning, you also get a nightly record of your sleep in the form of a graph along with the essential stats.   • Great app - simple and to the point

    After experimenting with options, this had been my favorite sleep tracking alarm clock out there. The interface is pretty simple, and it does what it needs to! The only things I wish it had were 1) Ability to manually track sleep (if I forget to use the app one night), and 2) I wish the sleep sound faded out- sometimes it cutting off abruptly wakes me up

  • Recent update has made the app unusable

    This app was great for months as my alarm clock replacement. However, since the last major update in May the app freezes and is unreliable in setting off the alarm. Frequently if freezes on the screen where you set the alarm time. In other cases I am able to set the alarm but the app appears to freeze and the alarm does not go off at all. I need to force close the app to get it to respond but I find that it usually locks up again on the alarm view. These problems were happening on an iPhone 6 with iOS 10 and now a 7 Plus on iOS 10.3.3. Hope this information is helpful in debugging.
  • What about naps?

    The app is very good and useful. My only criticism is that it doesn't take naps into account, and I love taking a siesta now and then. Sleep goals are at minimum 5 hours long, so it's not possible to set it for 1 or 2 hour naps. So every time I take a nap I cannot use the app, cause if I do I will end up with a higher sleep debt than the real one. And then I have to remember to set a new sleep goal (to substract the duration of my nap) for the night. And change it back on the next morning. It's a hassle. It would be nice if the app had like a nap mode.
  • Not Worth Buying

    I used the free version of the app for a few days and it worked really well. However all the ads constantly popping up was obnoxious so I decided to buy the full version. The app keeps freezing up. I tried using it three times and it keeps saying it was unable to record data. What a waste of money.
  • Helping with Sleep Deprivation

    I love this app! I have been trying to change my sleep habits...I'm a life-long night owl but have been wanting to change my sleep cycle (early to bed, early to rise). This app shows me the quality of my sleep (deep and light sleep and duration) and with this awareness, I see how I am short changing myself when I go to bed late.

    Love the simplicity if the app. I have never used any other sleep tracker before so not sure how it compares to anything else out there. My experience with this one has been great. Con: Eats up a LOT of battery
  • Good App

    Very reliable, and works well with my iphone 7 plus. The sleep tracker seems to coincide with my awakenings at night, and even in the morning before my alarm goes off. P.S. if you're looking for how to disable the alarm and just track your sleep, tap "Sleep" on the alarm screen and then the little clock icon will start to jiggle. Tap the jiggling clock and you've just disabled the alarm. Now you can track your sleep without being awoken the next morning if you want to sleep in uninterrupted.

  • Not reliable as an alarm clock

    Update: new version still quits in the middle of the night, leaving you without an alarm. Don't rely on it to wake you. Works most of the time, but a backup alarm is a must. The app will occasionally quit in the middle of the night leaving you without an alarm (or tracking).
